Surgery Center

As members of the trusted Community Memorial Healthcare network, our expert surgeons perform most of their cases at Community Memorial Hospital – Ventura.

Depending on the complexity of your case, your procedure will take place in one of the sate-of-the-art operating suites at Community Memorial Same Day Surgery or the main hospital OR. Both facilities are staffed by Community Memorial’s CNOR certified surgical nurses, board-certified anesthesiologists, and experienced post-op recovery team.

Prior to your procedure, our team will:

  • Explain when and where to complete any necessary pre-op lab testing or imaging
  • Tell you when and where to check-in on the day of your surgery
  • Provide you with any specific pre-op instructions

Anesthesia

A member of Community Memorial’s Physician Anesthesiology team will help supervise your care before, during, and after surgery. They will deliver your anesthesia, ensure your safety and comfort during your surgery, and be available for postprocedure pain management as needed. Our anesthesiologists are experienced, board-certified, and many have additional sub-specialty training.

The type of anesthesia used for your procedure depends on a number of factors. Your surgeon will discuss your unique needs and options with you when planning your surgery. Please be sure to review our Anesthesia Patient Education information for details on how best to prepare for anesthesia.

Post-Operative Care

Our team will provide you with extensive guidance to support your recovery in the days and weeks following your surgery. Please make sure you understand any instructions given to you, and follow them closely. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 805-642-1699.

Most cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis, meaning a hospital stay is not required following your surgery. If inpatient post-operative care is necessary to meet your individual needs and help you recover comfortably and safely, you will be admitted to Community Memorial Hospital – Ventura.
