Honorary Hosts

Dr. Jim and Robyn Halverson and their children, Jenna and Brad, moved to Ojai in 1987 and made an immediate impact in the community. Jim joined Dr. Mary Dial and Dr. Carl Gross at Ojai Valley Family Medicine Group, where he continues to practice today. Over the last 38 years, Jim has selflessly served as one of the Valley’s most trusted physicians, touching thousands of lives in the process.

Jim and Robyn’s commitment to our community is evident not only through their mutual dedication to Jim’s patients, but also through their history of service to numerous organization throughout the Ojai Valley. Jim served as President of the Rotary Club of Ojai – West, the Monica Ros School Board, and Chief of Staff at our community hospital, where he also worked in the Emergency Room and took call. Robyn has devoted the last 28 years to the Nordhoff High School Music Department, where her experience and expertise have been invaluable assets to the school’s award-winning dance and musical programs.

Jim and Robyn were honored as Ojai Living Treasures in 2001-2002, but two decades later, their contributions to our community continue. In 2024, Jim completed a 30-year term as Medical Director of our Continuing Care Center, and after undergoing a heart transplant, Robyn continues to give of herself to the causes she is passionate about – including our local hospital. We are proud to honor Jim and Robyn for everything they have done to make exceptional healthcare available in the Ojai Valley.
