About
Dr. Koosha Mortazavi was born in Tehran, Iran. He emigrated to the United States in 1999 after he received his doctorate in medicine at Iran University of Medical Sciences. He completed post graduate training in internal medicine at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas where he was awarded for excellent performance in internal medicine. Dr. Mortazavi then continued his postgraduate training in Nephrology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas where he received the Amgen Nephrology Fellowship Award. He is currently board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. He joined the group in 2006. As a hardworking physician, Dr. Mortazavi strives to be updated in his field of practice. He enjoys taking care of his patients and finds work very gratifying and rewarding. Together with his wife and two sons he lives in Ventura County and enjoys the sunny southern California's many outdoor activities.
