Mathew Thomas, MD

About

Mathew Thomas, MD, is a board-eligible diagnostic and interventional radiologist who specializes in the treatment of a variety of medical conditions. Dr. Thomas has broad training and experience in a wide variety of interventional radiology procedures, including interventional oncology (radioembolization, chemoembolization, and thermal ablation), MSK interventions (vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty/ablation), IVC filter placement and retrieval, portal hypertension interventions (transjugular portosystemic shunt placement/revision, variceal obliteration), pulmonary intervention (pulmonary AVM embolization and pulmonary embolism thrombectomy), biliary intervention, genitourinary intervention, uterine fibroid embolization, and prostate artery embolization.

Dr. Thomas completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at UC San Diego Health. He also completed his radiology residency at UC San Diego Health following a surgical internship at the University of Illinois Chicago. He completed his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Thomas enjoys time at the beach with his family, outdoor running, hiking, and traveling.
