About
Dr Mitchell graduated from the Stanford University Medical School and has practiced Child Neurology since 1973. He completed residency in Neurology at Stanford and the University of Pennsylvania, and Child Neurology fellowship at St Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelpia, PA. He is board certified in Neurology with Special Competence in Child Neurology. Most of his practice was at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC during his 40 years of active service in the Army where at various times he was the Child Neurology Fellowship Director and Neurology Department Chief. Concurrently, he was Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services Medical School in Bethesda, MD. He and his wife, who is also a retired Army physician, are delighted to be back home in California and for him to continue helping to care for children within the Community Memorial Health System where he is available to see all types of Child Neurology referrals.
