Steven LeDesma, MD

About

Dr. Steven G. LeDesma, a native of Oxnard, California, completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of California, San Diego. He received his doctorate degree at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. While at UCLA, Dr. LeDesma was honored as o Deon's Scholar for his research in Emergency Medicine. Additionally, he traveled throughout Michoocan, Mexico, working in clinics and hospitals, providing medical core to people in rural communities.  Dr. LeDesma completed his residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado. His scholarly achievements include publications throughout his career in both basic science and clinical research.

Dr. LeDesma joined the group in 2002. He has served on the Medicine Committee at Community Memorial Hospital and is currently the Medical Director at five local dialysis facilities. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and board certified in Nephrology. Memberships include the Ventura County Medical Association and the American Society of Nephrology.

Exceptional kidney core is very personal for Dr. LeDesma, as he donated a kidney to his daughter in 2006. He has been a guest speaker at the Ventura County Medical Center, and at events for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the American Cancer Society. He, his wife, Ceyanne, and two children cherish their time together, and are proud to call Ventura County home.
