I was originally born in Taipei, Taiwan. I moved back and forth between Southern California and Taiwan as a child almost every year, like a migratory bird. My family finally settled in Inland Empire in Southern California.
I attended UCLA for my undergraduate and Masters studies where I studied Physiology. I attended University of California San Francisco (UCSF) for medical school. I then traveled north to Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon and completed my residency training in Internal Medicine.
I migrated south to San Francisco afterward and worked in several hospitals, including St. Luke's/CPMC Mission Bernal with Sutter Health and later at Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco.
Because of the pandemic, my family had the opportunity to move back to Southern California to be close to our families.
I now work as a hospitalist doctor at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills hospital and Community Memorial Hospital Ventura. I also provide hospital-type care at patients' homes under a novel program called the Advanced Medical Care At Home.
As a hospitalist doctor, I am your chief doctor for your care while you are hospitalized. I lead your care and consult with subspecialists when needed.
Being in the hospital is scary. I want you to know that you are very important to me. Your health is very important to me. I work closely with you and your family to take care of you.
My interests include plant based diet, cooking Asian cuisine, exercise, audiobooks, and dogs. |
