About
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA
Medical School: The Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at Technion Israel Institute of Technology, Israel
Undergraduate School: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, University of California, Los Angeles
Life Before Medical School: Prior to medical school, I spearheaded a study on non-directed (altruistic) living kidney donors as a researcher in the Department of Urology at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine and published my findings as first-author in multiple peer-reviewed journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine. I also volunteered as a Crisis Text Counselor, utilizing my listening skills and empathy to build genuine human connections while helping those in need.
Why Ventura? I am thrilled to train in Southern California where I intend to practice psychiatry, plus being close to my support system and the beach are the basic essentials during residency. Training at a county hospital provides me with the high acuity of patient exposure in a close-knit learning environment with attendings who are truly invested in our learning.
Medical Interest: Child/Adolescent Psychiatry, Transplant Psychiatry, First Break Psychosis, social determinants of mental health
