Life Before Medical School: I worked at Santa Monica Clinical Trials as a Clinical Research Coordinator, volunteered at Glendale Adventist Medical Center with the COPE Health Scholar program and lastly volunteered as a medical assistant in a mobile clinic at The Dream Center in Los Angeles.
Why Ventura? There are numerous reasons why I chose Community Memorial. From the wide variety of cases and ample opportunity for learning, to training with amazing attendings and residents. Everyone is collaborative and supportive, not just in orthopedics but in all of the different specialties. The GME program is outstanding and the ideal environment I was looking for when I was an auditioning student. Community Memorial is also located in a beautiful area, close to the beach and mountains and only a short drive from my family. I feel lucky to have the luxury of enjoying everything Southern California has to offer.
Medical Interest: I’ve found interest and fulfillment in all aspects of Orthopedic Surgery thus far
