Why Ventura? This was the only program I had the privilege of interviewing in-person, and I was impressed. From the social event the night before the interview to having lunch with residents on interview day and being given a scenic tour of Ventura during our actual interview day, I witnessed nothing but warmth and enthusiasm from everyone around me. I could tell that this is a program that cares about its residents, and the residents care about the community they serve as well. In addition to that, and being right by the ocean, there’s a community gym literally right next to the hospital stacked with all the equipment you need, which I plan to use frequently!
