From delivering babies and providing life-saving, emergency care, to training the next generation of physicians and implementing advanced technologies and procedures, it’s all in a day’s work at Community Memorial. Our community relies on us to provide these essential services when they need us most, and we rely on the generous contributions of our community partners and donors to support us in making that happen.
Community Memorial Healthcare is a non-profit, independent health system encompassing two hospitals and a network of primary and specialty care Health Centers across Ventura County. As the twin pillars of that system, our sister hospitals in Ventura and Ojai are here for you, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our independent status means we are not backed by a corporate or government entity, nor do we answer to shareholders. We are governed by elected community representatives and we answer to the people of Ventura County. This leaves us free to add services, facilities, and specialists when the need arises, and thanks to donations from generous patients, families, and residents, we can anticipate your needs and build on our capabilities.
Two Foundations Help Us Keep Raising the Bar
Financial contributions from our community are critical to the successful operation of our hospitals in Ventura and Ojai. Donor funds enable us to provide equipment, innovative technologies, and state-of-the-art treatments. Our efforts to continuously enhance the care we provide are supported by two fundraising Foundations.
- Community Memorial Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization that helps support Community Memorial Hospital – Ventura in several key ways:
- Raising funds to support Community Memorial Hospital’s greatest needs, including leading-edge medical technology, vital equipment, and education
- Working with the community to foster support for the Ventura hospital
- Providing financial support for new programs and services at Community Memorial Hospital – Ventura
- Ojai Valley Hospital Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization that helps support Community Memorial Hospital – Ojai and the Community Memorial Continuing Care Center in these important ways:
- Raising funds for facility improvements, new medical technologies, and other resources that enhance patient care and services
- Educating the community about the programs, services, and capabilities offered through the hospital and Continuing Care Center
- Serving as a communications link between the people of the Ojai Valley and our local hospital to ensure the community’s needs are met
Many Ways to Give this Holiday Season
This season, please consider making a gift to one or both of our charitable foundations to help ensure the highest quality care for residents of Ventura County. Large or small, every donation makes a difference. We welcome gifts in any amount and in a variety of forms — from cash, checks, and credit cards to personal property, gifts through your will or estate, and more. Our two Foundations are administered separately, and each has its own priorities and giving opportunities.
