Ana’s Story: Taking Control of Blood Sugar & Diabetes

Ana’s diabetes was out of control. Her A1c was the highest it had ever been (12%) and she was referred to nephrology because the disease was affecting her kidneys. In addition to a consultation with an endocrinologist, her doctor also referred her to our Diabetes Education team. She met with one of our educators and was able to get her blood sugar under control. She got her A1c down to her goal of 7%!

Ana no longer fears diabetes and she feels empowered and confident that she can manage the condition.
