That's why Community Memorial Healthcare works with our patients to identify the best way to cover the cost of services received. We screen for federal, state, and local program eligibility; offer a 40% cash-pay discount; and a variety of payment plans.
Uninsured patients who are unable to pay their bill may be eligible for financial assistance, depending on their income and family size. Typically, all available payment sources must be used before a patient is eligible for financial assistance.
If you need help paying your hospital bill, we have staff that can assist you in applying for government assistance from Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, and California Children’s Services. For Medi-Cal we will need a copy of your Medi-Cal card for the current month. Medi-Cal does not pay for the cost of a private room unless medically necessary.
Community Memorial offers a discount policy for uninsured patients who do not qualify for government programs. The estimated charges will be due “in full” prior to or at the time services are rendered.
Patient account balances are due upon receipt. However, if you are unable to pay your full balance, you may choose to make payment arrangements to pay your bill over time. These arrangements are interest free for low-income, uninsured patients and certain income-eligible patients with high medical costs.
